Strategic Assessment

The first step towards developing your school’s integrated technology strategy is to employ K12’s Technology Assessment Plan (TAP). K12 will make a comprehensive assessment of your key IT drivers and assess the overall health of your EdTech foundation. The TAP will give you a well-rounded objective view of your current IT status, identify risks and challenges, and provide a custom roadmap to put you on the right course toward a holistic, effective IT strategy.

K12’s TAP includes the following steps :

  1. Discuss and assess 10 key areas  of your school: Team, Infrastructure, Education Systems, Strategic Initiatives, Vendors, Budgets, Processes, Project Management, Innovation, and Customer Satisfaction. 
  2. Gather data.
  3. Analyze data & provide health ratings.
  4. Perform SWOT analysis.
  5. Review findings.
  6. Provide recommendations.
  7. Generate a prioritized action plan.

Project Management


Once a thorough assessment of your existing IT status is completed, K12 Technologies will develop a detailed and prioritized action plan. K12 will work with you to track progress, monitor risks and facilitate the completion of key milestones. In order to honor your budgetary limitations, K12 allows for flexibility with regard to the execution of your unique plan – either you do it all, K12 assists, or K12 does it all. Proceeding with a shared vision and adhering to a master IT plan ensures alignment across all departments, buy-in from admins, faculty and staff, and completion with on-going success.
